As Ricky Rudd prepares for his official enshrinement in the NASCAR Hall of Fame next February, the legendary racer will get to see a familiar paint scheme on track next week at Bristol Motor Speedway. Mason Maggio and the No. 21 Flordian Motorsports NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series team will field a red, and white No. 21 paint scheme on their Ford F-150 race truck, which resembles one of Rudd’s former race cars.
The No. 21 truck will look like Rudd’s 2005 Wood Brothers Racing Motorcraft / Ford Parts & Service Ford Fusion.
Maggio shared the look of his truck in a post on X on Thursday, and along with the graphic, he shared the caption, “Honored to be running this beautiful Ricky Rudd paint scheme from his time with the Wood Brothers to congratulate him on his induction to the @NASCARHall at @ItsBristolBaby next Thursday. So thankful that our partners for allowing us to do this!”

Maggio’s primary sponsorship partners for the event will include United States Off Market Real Estate Deals, and Ace Hardware Rock Hill.
The truck will feature a red front end, roof, and white sides with the iconic gold Wood Brothers Racing No. 21 number font on the sides. The truck will feature the same lightning bolt/burst patterns on the sides that Rudd’s No. 21 car featured that season as well.
Rudd recorded two top-five finishes, and nine top-10s and finished 21st in the championship standings in that 2005 campaign, the final full-time season of his NASCAR Cup Series career. Rudd notched 23 victories over a 906-race NASCAR Cup Series career, including an impressive streak of at least one win in 16 consecutive seasons from 1983 to 1998.
The Chesapeake, Virginia native, who grew up with aspirations of competing in the Indianapolis 500, never got the opportunity to run the 500 at Indianapolis, but he was able to capture a win in the 1997 NASCAR Cup Series Brickyard 400 around the iconic 2.5-mile speedway.
Maggio, 20, has competed in nine NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series events this season along with one NASCAR Xfinity Series race.
The Palm Beach Garden, FL native recorded an impressive 18th-place run at Atlanta Motor Speedway in the NASCAR Xfinity Series last weekend and has a best finish of 24th, which also came at Atlanta, in his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series starts this season.
