Anthony Alfredo and the No. 62 Beard Motorsports team were the Cinderella Story of the 2024 Daytona 500. The team, which has one full-time employee, crew chief Darren Shaw, incredibly made it into the field for the Great American Race by way of qualifying speed.
The driver and team will look to continue the incredible story next month at Talladega Superspeedway. The No. 62 team will return for the upcoming event at the 2.66-mile superspeedway in Alabama, and the car will carry one of Alfredo’s longtime partners as the primary sponsor.

“This partnership with DUDE Wipes has our entire team and family super excited,” said Amie Beard, executive vice president of Beard Motorsports. “Our family loves everything about racing – the competition, the atmosphere – and we have fun being a part of this sport. This partnership with DUDE Wipes is still very new but we have learned very quickly that they are completely on board with bringing the ‘fun.’ This just feels like the perfect partner for us and our team for this race at Talladega.”
The opportunity to support Alfredo, and the Beard Motorsports team in a NASCAR Cup Series event was too big of an opportunity for DUDE Wipes to pass up on.
“We are thrilled for the opportunity to partner with Beard Motorsports and Anthony Alfredo,” said Ryan Meegan, co-founder of DUDE Wipes. “We have partnered with Anthony for a few years now and he is a big fan of our products and has been a tremendous ambassador for the brand. Being able to partner with Beard Motorsports and the NASCAR Cup Series program at Talladega is a great opportunity for DUDE Wipes.”
Alfredo is excited to see his partnership with DUDE Wipes, which started as a one-off sponsorship deal, continue to flourish years later.
“I met the DUDE Wipes team when I first started my career in the national series through Austin Dillon, Austin Craven and Team Dillon Management, and they have been nothing but a pleasure to work with,” Alfredo said. “This started as a one-race deal in the Xfinity Series and they are now the cornerstone sponsor for my fulltime Xfinity Series effort. I’m very thankful for my relationship with them and we have a lot of great things on the horizon in the future.”
Alfredo kept his nose clean for the majority of the Daytona 500, but was swept up in a 23-car accident in the closing laps of the race.
Still, Alfredo was able to finish the race and salvaged a 27th-place finish.
With the speed that Alfredo and Beard Motorsports flashed at Daytona International Speedway, they could be a darkhorse pick for the GEICO 500 at Talladega on April 21.
While Alfredo is a part-time NASCAR Cup Series competitor for Beard Motorsports this season, he is also a full-time NASCAR Xfinity Series driver for Our Motorsports. Alfredo has enjoyed success through the opening five races of the 2024 Xfinity Series season.
He has already accumulated two top-10 finishes, and he sits 12th in the championship standings.
Additionally, Alfredo is serving as the simulator driver for Hendrick Motorsports this year.
