Former NASCAR Cup Series champion Ryan Blaney and his wife, Gianna, have welcomed their first child into the world, the couple revealed on Saturday, courtesy of a post made to Instagram.

Charley Bennett Blaney was born on Monday, November 17.

The couple got officially married last December in Aspen, Colorado, exactly one year to the day of their engagement. Earlier this year, on July 1, Ryan and Gianna announced that their first child would be coming at the end of 2025.

Ryan Blaney, whose father Dave Blaney and grandfather Lou Blaney were both raceccar drivers before him, is the 2023 champion of the NASCAR Cup Series, and continues to compete full-time in the series for Team Penske, driving the No. 12 Ford Mustang Dark Horse.

In fact, Blaney, who turns 32 on December 31, is the most-recent winner at NASCAR’s top-level, winning the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race at Phoenix Raceway. Unfortunately for Blaney, unlike it did in 2023, the victory did not translate to a championship, as the driver of the Menards Ford Mustang was not a part of the Championship 4.

No doubt one of the most accomplished young guns on the NASCAR Cup Series grid, Blaney has recorded 17 career victories at NASCAR’s top-level, 96 top-five finishes, and 168 top-10s. Blaney also has seven wins in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series and four wins in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.

Blaney joins a long list of drivers who have welcomed children into the world this year, including Denny Hamlin (whose son, Jameson Drew Hamlin, was born on June 11) and Tyler Reddick (whose son, Rookie George Reddick, was born on Sunday, May 25). NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series driver Natalie Decker also gave birth to her son, Levi, in February of 2025, and competed in the series later in the season at Daytona International Speedway.

The good news for the new father, is that he won’t have to return to the racetrack for a couple of months yet, with the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series campaign beginning on February 1 at Bowman-Gray Stadium in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
