Video: Bump Draft From Allmendinger Sends Mayer Into Austin Hill to Bring Out Caution

Sam Mayer crash Talladega 2022
Sam Mayer slid off the bumper of AJ Allmendinger and slammed into Austin Hill. Mayer and Hill went into the inside wall on lap 111.

Austin Hill, the dominant driver of Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series Ag-Pro 300 at Talladega Superspeedway, seems to be out of contention for the race win as he was collected by Sam Mayer, who was sent sideways on lap 111.

Mayer, who was running second at the time, received a shove from behind from AJ Allmendinger. The tap got Mayer’s car squirrelly and the crash was on from there.
