Video: Austin Dillon and Paul Menard Tangle Early at Pocono

Austin Dillon had shown enough speed to be a potential top-10 finisher early in Sunday’s Pocono 400 at Pocono Raceway. However, after the race restarted following the lap 20 competition caution, Dillon received contact from Paul Menard which sent Dillon skidding into the wall.

“That’s disappointing. We had a pretty decent car and the car is killed,” Austin Dillon said after exiting the infield care center. “The 21 hit us. You can see everyone is piled up in there. He dove in too deep missed the corner hit me in the back and took me out of the race.”

The damage to the rear of Dillon’s car was severe enough to sideline him for the day.
