With 14 laps remaining in the opening Stage of Sunday’s Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona International Speedway, the Toyota teams decided to hit pit road together. Joe Gibbs Racing teammates Denny Hamlin, Martin Truex Jr. and Kyle Busch came off the track three-wide.
As they approached the pit entry, Hamlin locked up his brakes and turned sideways. The No. 11 car made slight contact with Busch’s No. 18.
It was a wild moment, but Hamlin and Busch seem to be okay after the contact.
