Official Starting Lineup: NASCAR Cup Series YellaWood 500 at Talladega

Austin Hill, a superspeedway master in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, nearly claimed his first career NASCAR Cup Series pole position in Saturday’s YellaWood 500 qualifying session at Talladega Superspeedway. However, Hill was bumped from the pole by Chase Briscoe, the final car to go out on track in the final round of the session.

Briscoe, the driver of the No. 19 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota, won the pole over Hill by a margin of 0.032 seconds.

Connor Zilisch, Shane van Gisbergen, and Chris Buescher rounded out the top-five fastest drivers in the qualifying session.
