Justin Allgaier will officially return to JR Motorsports in 2027 with a multi-year contract that will keep him behind the wheel of the team’s No. 7 Chevrolet in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series. BRANDT Professional Agriculture, Allgaier’s longtime sponsorship partner, will also return for the multi-year agreement.
In a video shared by the team, Allgaier, the 2023 series champion, explained that he had every intention of retiring at the end of the 2026 campaign, but as the year went on, he realized it wasn’t time.

“At the beginning of the year, I knew it was a year that I was going to retire, but I wasn’t quite ready yet,” Allgaier said.
Allgaier’s choice to change his mind on retirement is understandable. It’s hard for any driver to walk away from the sport, to begin with. But Allgaier has had possibly the best season of his illustrious NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series career this season.
Heading into the season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway, Allgaier has amassed six wins, the most of any season in his 16-year NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series career. The 40-year-old has also set his career-high mark for top-five finishes with 19 (previous best was 17 in 2018), and he has snagged 23 top-10s.
Heading into Saturday night’s NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series Championship Race, Allgaier holds a solid 22-point advantage over Jesse Love in the championship standings. He will have a legitimate shot of walking out of Homestead with his second career championship.
Once the 2026 championship fight is over, though, it won’t be lights out for Allgaier’s career. The driver, who has piled up 34 wins in his O’Reilly Auto Parts Series career, will look for more trophies and more championships with JR Motorsports.
