Video: Jack Wood and Johnny Sauter Crash Just After the Green Flag at Pocono

Just after the green flag was displayed for Saturday’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Brakleen 150 at Pocono Raceway, Jack Wood got turned and slammed into Johnny Sauter.

It appeared that Wood missed a shift, which caused Chandler Smith to get into the back of his No. 24 GMS Racing truck.

Wood’s race was over before even turning a lap on Saturday, while Sauter — who is battling on the bubble of the Playoffs — will soldier on in a wounded No. 13 truck.

Sauter, the 2016 Truck Series champion, has not won a race since Dover — the sixth race of the 2019 NCWTS season. Heading into Saturday, Sauter sat 12th in the championship standings with two top-fives and four top-10 finishes after 12 races.
