After a performance filled with late dominance, Austin Green scored his first-career victory in the ARCA Menards Series at Charlotte Motor Speedway a couple of weeks ago. The teams and drivers are now set to venture out to Brooklyn, Michigan, for the sixth race on the 2025 calendar at Michigan International Speedway.
In this event a season ago, current NASCAR Xfinity Series rookie contender Connor Zilisch swiped away the victory from Tanner Gray in a showdown around the 2.0-mile oval to claim his fourth career ARCA national win.
Heading into competition for Friday’s Henry Ford Health 200, Lavar Scott continues to lead the way in the championship standings despite suffering a six-point penalty following the previous race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. He leads both Brenden Queen and Lawless Alan by four points as the season enters the grueling summer months that will see four ARCA Menards Series races in June alone.
Several strong competitors are among the 27 cars on the entry list for Friday evening, and they are all looking to win the Henry Ford Health 200.
The biggest entry among the field falls in the hands of the current Sunoco rookie of the year points leader in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series, Gio Ruggiero, who will take his first crack at ARCA competition of the year in the Joe Gibbs Racing No. 18 Toyota Camry. This will be one of two races Ruggiero will contest in ARCA for 2025; his other start will come in the second Kansas Speedway race in September.
Regina Servent, well known for being the first female to win a NASCAR Mexico Truck Series, as well as the first Hispanic to claim victory in a NASCAR-sanctioned international race, will make her ARCA Menards Series debut in the No. 68 Ford Fusion for Kimmel Racing.
Tyler Reif, who will turn 18 this Wednesday, June 5, will contest in his first intermediate oval start in the No. 23 Chevrolet SS for Sigma Performance Services. Reif is currently in the depths of a championship run in the ARCA East Series, currently ranked second in points after four events.
Jake Finch returns to the Venturini Motorsports squadron, as he will get behind the wheel of the No. 25 Phoenix Toyota Camry. His most recent Michigan start is the best finish by a current driver who had competed in last year’s event, scoring a fourth-place finish.
The Rev Racing development driver of Eloy Falcon, fresh off the heels of a third-place finish in his ARCA East debut at Rockingham Speedway in a Fast Track Racing-prepared car in April, will pilot the No. 2 Chevrolet SS in his first ARCA national start.
Kole Raz, despite missing the Kansas spring race, will climb back aboard the No. 76 Cyclum Nextgen Travel Centers Ford Fusion for AM Racing.
Some of the full-time notable drivers in the field that are running for the season championship, in addition, include Thad Moffitt, Isabella Robusto, Andy Jankowiak, Jason Kitzmiller, Alex Clubb, Michael Maples, Brad Smith, and Brayton Laster, to name a few.
The 100-lap, 100-mile showdown will test the drivers around the treacherous 2.0-mile oval and shine the light on any of the drivers who can come through in the clutch on Friday evening.
Coverage of the Henry Ford Health 200 at Michigan International Speedway will air live on Friday, June 8, on FS2 at 6 p.m. ET, with radio coverage provided by the Motor Racing Network and ARCARacing.com
