“Food City is proud to team up with our friends from Kaulig Racing to showcase our Crav’n’ Flavor brand on the Kaulig Racing No. 11 Chevrolet Camaro piloted by Derek Kraus for the running of the Food City 300,” says Steven C. Smith, Food City president and chief executive officer.

Hardscape Construction, Inc., the primary sponsor of the No. 11 from last Saturday at Kansas Speedway, will also serve as a co-primary sponsor of the entry, as Kraus makes his sixth start of the NASCAR Xfinity Series season.

“We are thrilled to once again partner with our friends at Food City, this time in the Xfinity Series,” said team president, Chris Rice. “Derek Kraus has been doing a fantastic job in our Chevrolets and I look forward to watching him represent Food City’s Crav’n Flavor Brands Friday night”.

On Tuesday, Kaulig Racing announced that Kraus, a standout in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, would drive the No. 11 Chevrolet in three more events this season, including Saturday’s event at Bristol, along with Homestead and Phoenix later in the season.

In five previous starts in the second-tier series, Kraus has recorded three finishes inside the top-10. Last weekend at Kansas, Kraus matched a career-best Xfinity Series finish of eighth place.

However, most of the Stratford, Wisconsin-native’s experience comes from the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, where he spent three full seasons driving for McAnally-Hilgemann Racing, scoring four top-five and 27 top-10 results.

Earlier in the day on Tuesday, the organization also announced that Food City would be partnering with iconic soda brand Mountain Dew, to bring the company back to the sport, sponsoring Justin Haley in the NASCAR Cup Series.
