Ty Majeski, a driver well-known for his prowess on short tracks, will lead the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series field to green for Saturday’s Worldwide Express 250 at Richmond Raceway.

Majeski, driving the No. 98 Road Ranger Ford F-150 for ThorSport Racing, captured his second straight pole at the three-quarter-mile facility and the fifth of his NASCAR Truck Series career, with a time of 22.689 seconds (119.000mph).

The Seymour, Wisconsin native beat out Corey Heim, a beast in qualifying for the NASCAR Truck Series this year, by about a half-tenth of a second in time trials, with the TRICON Garage driver qualifying second.

William Sawalich, making his third start in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, earned a career-best third-place start, driving the No. 1 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro for TRICON Garage. Ben Rhodes will start from fourth.

Matt Mills, in his first of two events driving the No. 51 for Kyle Busch Motorsports, will start from fifth place. Christian Eckes, Tanner Gray, Matt Crafton, Chase Purdy, and Matt DiBenedetto rounded out the top-10.

With 38 trucks entered in Saturday’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event at Richmond, two trucks were forced to pack up early and head back home. Those two trucks would be Justin Carroll and Trey Hutchens III.
