Jerame Donley – a long-time engineer for Chip Ganassi Racing — will join GMS Racing and Ty Dillon for the team’s inaugural season in the NASCAR Cup Series, serving as crew chief of the No. 94 Chevrolet Camaro.
Donley spent nine years with Chip Ganassi Racing, at which time he worked with Ross Chastain, Matt Kenseth, and Kyle Larson as an engineer on the No. 42 Chevrolet.
Before working at CGR, the Winston Salem, North Carolina native worked at Hendrick Motorsports on the set-up plate, while also serving as an underneath mechanic for Dale Earnhardt Jr and Jimmie Johnson. During this tenure at Hendrick, Donley was part of the 2009 and 2010 championship-winning team.
The GMS Racing No. 94 will participate in NASCAR Next Gen testing at Charlotte Motor Speedway on November 17th and 18th, marking Donley and Dillon’s first time working in a professional capacity on the track.
