Drew Dollar will graduate to the ranks of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in 2021, for a partial schedule with Kyle Busch Motorsports, the organization announced Thursday Afternoon.

The Atlanta, Georgia-native will pilot the No. 51 Toyota Tundra in eight events throughout the 2021 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series campaign, beginning with the season-opener at Daytona International Speedway on February 12th. As previously announced, Mardy Lindley will call the shots for the No. 51 in 2021.

In addition to Daytona, Dollar will pilot the No. 51 at Charlotte (May 28), Texas (June 12), Nashville (June 18), Bristol (September 16), Las Vegas (September 24), Talladega (October 2) and Phoenix (November 5).

“It’s an amazing opportunity to be taking the next step in my career running a part-time schedule in the Camping World Truck Series this year with Kyle Busch Motorsports and Toyota,” Dollar said. “I have a lot of hard work ahead of me learning a new series and driving a Tundra for the first time, but I’ll be surrounded by some of the best people in the industry. I look forward to the challenge. Thank you to all of my partners for supporting me and making this opportunity possible.”

Sunbelt Rentals – an anchor partner in Dollar’s 2020 ARCA Menards Series campaign — will return to sponsor the 20-year-old at Kyle Busch Motorsports, alongside JBL and another sponsor which will be announced at a later date.

“We’ve put an eight-race schedule together for Drew this year that will allow him to continue his development as a driver as he makes his first venture into the Camping World Truck Series,” Busch said. “Drew’s schedule includes several tracks where he was successful in the ARCA Menards Series last year, including Talladega where he won and Daytona where he finished third. We felt it was important to have him in the truck for stretches of races to give him consistent seat time and help the communication between him and Mardy Lindley. As a former driver himself, Mardy has been a great mentor to several young drivers in recent years, and we’re looking forward to seeing what he and Drew can do together this year.”

Earlier this month, it was announced that Dollar would return to the ARCA Menards Series with Venturini Motorsports, running an 11-race schedule in the No. 15 Toyota Camry, primarily containing intermediate tracks and superspeedways.

Kyle Busch – team owner of Kyle Busch Motorsports — is expected to return to the No. 51 Toyota Tundra for up to five events throughout the season, the schedule of which will be announced at a later date.

Additional announcements regarding the schedule of events for Kyle Busch Motorsports’ No. 51 Tundra will be forthcoming.
