Garrett Smithley will pilot SS-GreenLight Racing’s No. 14 Chevrolet Camaro full-time during the 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series season. The race team announced this in a press release on Thursday morning. Smithley will have support from longtime partner Trophy Tractor, which will serve as the anchor partner for the season.

Veteran crew chief Jason Miller, who was integral in SS-GreenLight Racing’s success a season ago, returns and will serve as the crew chief for Smithley in 2025.

Smithley, who hasn’t run a full NASCAR Xfinity Series season since 2019, is excited to slide behind the wheel of the No. 14 entry for SS-GreenLight Racing in the upcoming season.

“I’m incredibly excited and grateful to be a full-time driver at SS Greenlight Racing.” Smithley said. “I haven’t been full-time since 2019 so beyond, excited to get to work with Bobby and Jason Miller. Daytona can’t come soon enough!”

Smithley sliding behind the wheel of the SS-GreenLight Racing entry in 2025 isn’t unchartered territory as Smithley has competed in 11 NASCAR Xfinity Series races for the organization in the past. Team owner Bobby Dotter knows what he has in Smithley, who collected a top-10 finish for the team at Talladega Superspeedway in 2020, behind the wheel.

“We are really excited to have Garret back, his experience will be crucial to succeeding in 2025,” Dotter explained. “When Garrett has raced for us in the past he did a stellar job and we look forward to building on that success.”

The 32-year-old Smithley has one top-five finish and five top-10s in 180 career NASCAR Xfinity Series starts. With a stable ride, and a full-time commitment, Smithley will look to churn out a career-year in 2025 with SS-GreenLight Racing.
