NASCAR has officially expanded its partnership with Xfinity, as the brand will become one of the founding partners of the inaugural Chicago Street Race Weekend. The Chicago Street Race Weekend will take place July 1st and 2nd in Grant Park.

NASCAR and Xfinity made the announcement on Thursday, and Xfinity joins McDonald’s and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois as founding partners of the NASCAR Chicago Street Race Weekend.

According to a press release from Xfinity, the company will feature the Xfinity 10G Network branding on the course, and will include significant branding in Turn 10, which will be dubbed the “Xfinity 10G Turn”.

Xfinity will also have its branding visible with additional on-course branding in a dedicated founding partner section, as well as on the start-finish line near Buckingham Fountain, fan entrances, concert stage, wayfinding signage, and several other locations throughout the event’s footprint.

“The Chicago Street Race is an incredible moment in NASCAR history, and we can’t think of a better platform to showcase the Xfinity 10G Network and Xfinity Mobile with the iconic Chicago skyline as a backdrop,” said Matt Lederer, Vice President, Xfinity Brand Partnerships.

Xfinity is of course the entitlement sponsor of the NASCAR Xfinity Series, a sponsorship that has lasted nine seasons, and Xfinity is in the midst of its fourth season as a Premier Partner of NASCAR. In addition to these partnerships, Xfinity also serves as the entitlement sponsor of the Xfinity 500 NASCAR Cup Series race at Martinsville Speedway, which sets the Championship 4 field for the NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race at Phoenix Raceway.

The NASCAR Street Race was officially added to the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series schedule in July of 2022. Prior to that announcement, a virtual Chicago Street Race was run in the NASCAR Pro Invitational iRacing Series back in June of 2021.
