Every news outlet will be talking about Kyle Busch’s incredible victory after being crashed in the opening portion of the Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Busch was fortunate. His car was not damaged past the point of being able to continue the race.

Aric Almirola suffered a similar fate as he was slammed into the wall on the opening lap of the race. His damage was not bad enough to put him out of the race, however the driver of the No. 10 car was instructed to go behind the wall for repairs.

Shazam! Like that his day was done, as the damaged vehicle policy states you cannot go behind the wall with crash damage and return to the track.

Brock Beard of LASTCAR.info has an incredible breakdown of Almirola’s last-place finish. Click here to read the full story from Brock.

Brock Beard also did a feature on John Jackson who finished last place in the NASCAR Xfinity Series Alsco 300 on Saturday.

Jackson was running a special scheme honoring his fallen friend Richie Anderson. Unfortunately, the touching tribute ended in a last-place effort after suspension issues derailed the No. 13 car.
