LEGACY MOTOR CLUB continues to make moves to bolster the ownership group of its NASCAR Cup Series team, and on Thursday, the organization announced the addition of Guy Fieri as part of the ever-growing ownership group.
Fieri, an Emmy Award-winning television host, restaurateur, and entrepreneur, has joined the organization as a strategic owner. Fieri joins the ownership group on the heels of the addition of Darius Rucker, an award-winning singer/songwriter.
Fieri, who is an energetic personality, says that he sees that same energy in motorsports and wanted to be a part of the LEGACY MOTOR CLUB team, which he feels is building something unique.
“Motorsports and race cars have always had that raw energy I love — the people, the passion, the culture, the speed,” said Fieri in a team press release. “LEGACY MOTOR CLUB is building something different, and I wanted to be part of it. This is about more than racing — it’s about creating a brand that connects with fans everywhere, from the track to the table.”
Fieri’s authenticity is what made his addition perfect for LEGACY MOTOR CLUB.
“Guy has built an incredible brand by being authentic and connecting with people in a real way,” said Jimmie Johnson, co-owner of LEGACY MOTOR CLUB. “That’s at the heart of what we’re building here. We want LEGACY to reach far beyond race day, and Guy’s creativity, energy, and perspective are exactly what this ownership group is about.”
According to the race team, Fieri will be involved in more than just the ownership side of the race team. Fieri is expected to partake in collaborative content, fan engagement initiatives, and licensed merchandise.
The team will reveal additional details on those initiatives at a later date.
LEGACY MOTOR CLUB currently fields two full-time cars, the No. 42 and No. 43, in the NASCAR Cup Series and a part-time entry, No. 84. Next season, the team will expand to three full-time entries, as the No. 84 Toyota will run full-time with a driver to be announced, and Jimmie Johnson will pilot the No. 13 Toyota in the 2027 Daytona 500, which is slated to be the final start of his illustrious NASCAR Cup Series career.
