Denny Hamlin is staying put at Joe Gibbs Racing.

The 44-year-old driver has inked a multi-year contract agreement with the championship-winning organization, which will see him remain the driver of the No. 11 Toyota Camry XSE for the foreseeable future.

After securing his 58th NASCAR Cup Series victory in last Sunday’s AutoTrader EchoPark Automotive 400 at Dover Motor Speedway, Hamlin ranks 11th on the all-time wins list at NASCAR’s top level.

“Joe and everyone at JGR are family to me and have done so much for me over the last 20 years,” said Hamlin. “We’ve had a solid start to this season, and we have been able to welcome some great new partners this year, so there are a lot of exciting things happening with our team, not only now, but also into the future.”

Hamlin is currently leading the NASCAR Cup Series in victories this season with four (Martinsville, Darlington, Michigan, and Dover), and is currently tied for third in regular-season point standings with five races until the NASCAR postseason.

The illustrious resume for Hamlin includes three victories in the DAYTONA 500 (2016, 2019, 2020), three wins in the Southern 500 (2010, 2017, 2021), and one win in the Coca-Cola 600 (2022). This weekend at the Brickyard 400, Hamlin will look to become the fourth driver to complete the crown jewel sweep.

“I really appreciate Denny and everything he has meant to our organization,” said Joe Gibbs, owner of Joe Gibbs Racing. “It is just really special when you think about everything we’ve experienced over the past 20 years, from that first moment when J.D. (Gibbs) recognized his talent at a test session, until now. It is remarkable in any sport to compete at the level Denny has for this long, and we are thrilled he has been able to spend his entire career with us.”

Throughout his long-standing career in the NASCAR Cup Series, Hamlin has remained loyal to Joe Gibbs Racing, which leaves him as the organization’s longest-tenured driver with more than 700 starts, 244 top-five finishes, 369 top-10s, 44 poles, and more than 15,000 laps led.

With the departure of long-time sponsor FedEx, Hamlin has been an integral part in Joe Gibbs Racing securing some new, high-profile sponsorships, including Progressive Insurance and King’s Hawaiian.

The Brickyard 400, a race in which Hamlin is looking for his first win, will take place on Sunday, July 27 at 2:00 pm ET on TNT, IMS Radio, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
