Tyler Reif will serve as the anchor driver of the No. 42 Niece Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado during the 2026 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season, the team announced on Wednesday.

The 18-year-old Reif notched a top-10 finish in his series debut, a ninth-place result in the season-finale at the 1-mile Phoenix Raceway. While Reif will share the ride with others in 2026, he is thankful for the opportunity to carry the bulk of the schedule on his shoulders, and the Henderson, Nevada native is looking forward to the challenges ahead.

“I’m so thankful to everyone at Niece Motorsports for this opportunity to race more for them next year,” said Reif. “Making my debut in Phoenix was a dream come true, and I feel like all of the guys and I connected pretty quickly. Now that we have a larger schedule planned ahead of us, I look forward to racing on all types of tracks that I’ve never been to before. We all are already working to prepare for next year, and I can’t wait for our first race together.”

The incredible effort put in by Reif, a three-time race winner in the ARCA Menards Series West, at Phoenix Raceway, further opened the eyes of the Niece Motorsports team, which feels they have found a diamond in the rough in Reif.

“Tyler proved to us all that he was ready to run more races after his performance in Phoenix,” said Cody Efaw, President & CEO of the race team. “I was impressed by his ability to learn as the race weekend went on, and his feedback to the team steered them in the right direction. We think he will continue to improve as we take him to several different tracks on the schedule.”

An official schedule, or total number of races that Reif will compete in, was not included in the announcement, but will be announced at a later date, as will the remainder of the driver roster announcements for the No. 42 team. Niece Motorsports will also reveal the sponsorship partners and personnel pairings within its team as the 2026 season draws closer.
