Brett Moffitt was set to roll from the 10th starting spot in Saturday’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series FR8 Auctions 200 at Atlanta Motor Speedway, the first of a double header NASCAR afternoon which will see Moffitt compete in both races. However, a very last minute engine change was performed on his No. 45 Niece Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado.

As a result, Moffitt will have to drop to the rear of the field before the green flag of the race.

Moffitt will join Josh Berry, who will also drop to the rear in the No. 02 Young’s Motorsports truck. Berry was thrust into the driver seat when the team’s usual driver Kris Wright tested positive for COVID-19 this week.

Moffitt has three top-10 finishes and a win in four-career NCWTS starts at Atlanta, but he has never started worse than 13th at the track. He’ll be one to keep an eye on in the race to see how fast he can make up ground.
