Austin Wayne Self Thankful for Support After Road to Recovery Program

Austin Wayne Self was suspended from NASCAR on April 1st following a failed drug test. However, Self cooperated and entered NASCAR’s Road to Recovery Program and less than a month later he has reemerged and is ready to jump start his NASCAR career.

Following the news that he had been reinstated by the sanctioning body, Self tweeted his gratitude for those who believed in him even during his lowest point.

“We are excited to have Austin Wayne Self back and ready to go for Dover International Speedway on Friday afternoon. We look forward to a great race for all our fans and partners and the opportunity to also refocus on the rest of the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series season.”
