Justin Allgaier, a long-time competitor in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, has been tapped to drive the No. 62 for Beard Motorsports in Sunday’s YellaWood 500 at Talladega Superspeedway, the organization announced on Thursday.

Allgaier replaces Noah Gragson, who was initially scheduled to make his fourth and final start of the season for Beard Motorsports, but will instead serve as the replacement driver for Hendrick Motorsports and Alex Bowman, who is out with concussion-like symptoms.

The Riverton, Illinois-native has accumulated 80 starts in the NASCAR Cup Series, competing in two full-time seasons for HScott Motorsports in 2014 and 2015. However, only one of those starts came driving the Next Gen car.

Allgaier is a 19-time winner in the NASCAR Xfinity Series and currently pilots the No. 7 BRANDT Fresh Agriculture Chevrolet Camaro for JR Motorsports.
