Treyten Lapcevich and Stewart Friesen battled it out to the end of the race, including a last-lap contact-filled battle for the win, where Lapcevich claimed the inaugural victory on dirt for the NASCAR Pinty’s Series.

Since it was originally announced as part of the NASCAR Pinty’s Series schedule in 2020, many people have been excited for the series’ first-ever stop on the dirt at Ohsweken Speedway.

The event – and even more, the finish of the event – were more than worth the price of admission and the two-year wait, as fans experienced an intense battle between rising star Treyten Lapcevich and NASCAR Truck Series regular Stewart Friesen.

After holding his own throughout many, many restarts late in Tuesday’s Pinty’s 100, Treyten Lapcevich was able to barely clear Stewart Friesen for the lead with two laps to go, but couldn’t quite shake the dirt racing veteran, who snuck to his inside coming the white.

Friesen was able to clear his teammate on the final lap exiting turn two but didn’t quite get to the start-finish line quick enough, with Lapcevich crossing underneath, and roughing up Friesen, completing the pass on the exit of turn four.
