Greg Van Alst Putting Finishing Touches on ARCA Schedule, Eyeing Truck Series Campaign in 2022

Following an absence of nearly two decades, Greg Van Alst returned to the ARCA Menards Series in 2021 for a partial campaign, which will come to a close following Saturday’s Reese’s 150 at Kansas Speedway. The debut season of Greg Van Alst Motorsports has been one with moderate success thus far, notching a pair of top-10s at Kansas and Michigan, as well as a second-place result at Winchester.

Moving in 2022 it looks as though the organization is wanting more, with the team’s release ahead of Saturday’s event at Kansas detailing the current outlook for the 40-year-old next season, inside and outside of the ARCA Menards Series.

The organization – which currently fields the No. 35 CB Fabricating Ford Fusion — will return to the ARCA Menards Series in 2022, although Van Alst says the finishing touches are still being put on the team’s schedule for next season.

“Oh, we’ll be back, there’s no doubt about that,” Van Alst confirmed in a team release. “We will be at the Daytona ARCA test in January. and we’ll start the year looking to finish what we started at Daytona next February. As for the rest of the year, we’ll see how the schedule looks and make a future announcement soon.”

However, that isn’t the full extent of racing the Anderson, Indiana-native is planning for next season, as Van Alst is committed to breaking onto the scene of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series next season, as well.

“We’ve already started those talks next year in Trucks,” Van Alst continued. “Nothing to confirm at this point, but we’re putting our ducks in a row. We have to bring additional value to our partners and the ARCA Menards Series has done that — but elevating myself as a driver to NASCAR is something I’ve always dreamed about and we’re planning to make it a reality next year for sure.”

CB Fabricating – a long-time supporter of Greg Van Alst Motorsports — has further boosted its commitment to the organization and will continue to serve as the team’s primary marketing partner on the No. 35 Ford.

Additional details regarding Greg Van Alst Motorsports’ 2022 ARCA Menards Series schedule, as well as Van Alst’s potential breakthrough into the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, will come at a later date.
