Ryan Blaney will have a new look on his No. 12 Ford Mustang this weekend. He’ll have Body Armor on board as his primary sponsor, but replacing Body Armor’s usual red, white and neon yellow scheme will be the purple and gold Los Angeles Lakers colors.

Joining the gradient from gold to purple is a snake scales look all over the No. 12 car.

Blaney’s car will be in tribute to Kobe Bryant, who passed away along with his daughter Gianna Bryant and seven other passengers in a January 26th helicopter crash.

Bryant, a five-time NBA Champion and 18-time NBA All-Star, was an investor of Body Armor, and has met Blaney in the past.

In addition to the colors, Blaney’s car will feature the No.’s 2 and 24 inside of an infinity mamba snake design on the deck lid. This is in honor of Gianna, who wore No. 2 and Bryant, who wore No. 24.

On the rear bumper of the No. 12 car will be the website mambaonthree.org, which is a fund for the families of the seven other passengers who perished with Bryant and his daughter in that tragic helicopter crash.

The other seven passengers were: Alyssa Altobelli, John Altobelli, Keri Altobelli, Payton Chester, Sarah Chester, Christina Mauser and pilot Ara Zobayan.

Blaney also announced that all proceeds from merchandise sales from the Kobe Bryant tribute car will go to the Mamba On Three Fund.
