Jordan Anderson Racing Confirms Competition Leadership for 2026

Jordan Anderson Racing Bommarito Autosport has confirmed its competition leadership and organizational structure for the 2026 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series campaign.

Shane Whitbeck, a long-time member of the Jordan Anderson Racing team, will continue to serve as the Competition Director of the organization, leading the No. 27, No. 31, and No. 32 teams into the new season.

Whitbeck has played a key role in shaping the organization’s competitive direction, overseeing the day-to-day race operations, and fostering a culture centered on accountability, passion, and people. His background as a former crew chief brings a practical, driver-focused perspective that continues to elevate the performance of Jordan Anderson Racing.

“We’ve built something unique here – a structure that respects the history of racing while pushing us toward our future goals,” said Jordan Anderson, owner of Jordan Anderson Racing. “These guys have lived this sport – as drivers, as engineers, as leaders – and that experience is going to be a big part of how we continue to improve.”

Cody McKenzie will return to Jordan Anderson Racing in 2026 as crew chief of the No. 31 Chevrolet Camaro, which Blaine Perkins will once again pilot.

McKenzie holds a B.S. in Physics from Francis Marion University and an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Clemson University, and mainly focuses on data, simulation, and engineering development to support the team’s expanding simulation and technical efforts with Chevrolet.

In 2025, McKenzie’s first season as a full-time crew chief in NASCAR’s National Series, he and Blaine Perkins combined to score three top-10 results at Talladega (twice) and Portland.

Mark Setzer will remain with Jordan Anderson Racing this coming season but will move over to serve as the shot-caller for the full-time, multi-driver No. 32 Chevrolet. Setzer, a veteran crew chief, will get to work with Rajah Caruth, Jordan Anderson, Ross Chastain, and others throughout the year.

Setzer is a winner in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series as a crew chief, dating back to his days working with Jeremy Clements Racing on the No. 51 Chevrolet. In 2025, though, Setzer worked with Jeb Burton and collected a single top-five and eight top-10s, and nearly earned a post-season berth.

Finally, JC Umscheid joins Jordan Anderson Racing to serve as the crew chief of the No. 27 Chevrolet, driven by Jeb Burton. Umscheid has spent nearly a decade in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series working with championship-caliber organizations such as TRICON Garage and GMS Racing, and also led Kaden Honeycutt to a Snowball Derby victory as a crew chief in 2024.

The 2026 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series campaign will begin at Daytona International Speedway on Saturday, February 14 at 5:00 PM ET on The CW, MRN, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90.
