Video: Kyle Busch’s Hopes For Third Brickyard 400 Win Go Up in Smoke in Stage 2

Kyle Busch’s team had just gotten the No. 18 car in a position — handling wise — to potentially contend for the win in Sunday’s Big Machine Vodka 400 at the Brickyard in Stage 2. While running inside the top-10 on lap 88, Busch’s motor expired.

A plum of smoke and fire under the hood signaled the end of the day for Busch. This will mark the first DNF of the year for Busch.

It has now been 13 races since the 2019 regular season champion has won an event.
