Martin Truex Jr. Wins Coca-Cola 600, Third Win of 2019
Sunday, in the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway Martin Truex Jr. led a race-high 116 laps, but had to fight his guts out for the win in a late-race restart.
Truex would line up on the inside in third position, but he utilized a four-wide move down the backstretch to work his way back to the lead, where he would stay for the final few circuits.
Joey Logano ended up second, Kyle Busch was third, Chase Elliott finished fourth and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. rounded out the top-five finishers.
Truex came back from blowing a tire and slapping the wall in Stage 1 for the win.
