Video: Mud Brings Truck Series Pinty’s Dirt Race Heat 1 Qualifying Race to a Halt on Lap 1

After massive storms hit Bristol Motor Speedway on Saturday, the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series teams were ready to get their heat qualifying races underway, albeit after a slight delay.

However, on lap one of Heat 1, just about every truck got their windshields and grilles completely caked with mud. Check out this wild on-board footage from the opening lap:

At the end of one lap, Mike Marlar holds the lead from the pole. Each Heat race will be a total of 15 laps.

Heat 1 is under a red flag, while late model cars are turning laps around the 0.533-mile speedway in an effort to pack the surface of the track down some for the NASCAR drivers.
