Video: Martin Truex Jr. Finds Wall While Leading Coca-Cola 600

If Martin Truex Jr. is going to go on to win the Coca-Cola 600 for the second time, he will have to overcome some adversity. On lap 73, Truex was leading the field after starting from the 14th position, when all of a sudden Truex’s car washed up the track on the exit of turn four.

Truex’s No. 19 Bass Pro Shops Toyota Camry slapped the wall, but it wasn’t hard enough damage to put him out of the race. The Joe Gibbs Racing pit crew got to work, and got Truex back into the race.

Even with the incident, Truex rebounded to finish inside the top-10 for the finish of Stage 1. Truex will head into the first Stage break in the 10th position.
