STP Will Not be a Primary Sponsor for Richard Petty Motorsports in 2019

Well, the 2019 season just got a little bit tougher for Bubba Wallace and the No. 43 team. Long time sponsor of the legendary 43 car, STP will not be back as a primary sponsor for the team in 2019 according to a report from the Sports Business Journal.

This is the latest troubling news for a team that lost their huge primary sponsor Smithfield Foods when Aric Almirola bolted from the team to move to Stewart-Haas Racing a year ago.

According to the report, STP will remain an associate sponsor with RPM in 2019 and that a return to a primary sponsor could happen in the future.
