After a multi-truck accident early in Thursday’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series UNOH 200 at Bristol Motor Speedway, Josh Reaume, driver of the No. 43 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation.
Just before 1:30 am on Friday, Reaume Brothers Racing released a statement regarding the condition of Reaume, saying that he had suffered a concussion as a result of the accident, has been discharged from the hospital, and will follow up with a neurologist to confirm no further issue.
“Following today’s accident, Josh [Reaume] was taken to Bristol Regional Medical Center for precautionary CT scans,” a statement from Reaume Brothers Racing reads. “He was diagnosed with a concussion and will be following up with a neurologist to confirm no further injury. He has been discharged, and wants to thank everyone for the well wishes.”
The crash happened just 37 laps into Thursday’s 200-lap contest, after Reaume slipped into turn one on the inside of Blaine Perkins, spinning his No. 43 around. However, unable to stop for the accident, Caruth spun and hit the side of Reaume’s entry.
