Video: Riley Herbst Slams Into Rear of Tommy Joe Martins, Hood Flies Up, Car Bursts Into Flames

Thankfully, Riley Herbst and Tommy Joe Martins are both okay after an insanely hard and wild crash in Saturday’s Sport Clips 200 at Darlington Raceway.

On lap 107, Martins had a mechanical issue with his car and he was attempting to get to pit road. Cars behind Martins began to scatter to avoid hitting the No. 44 car. Herbst, who couldn’t see a thing, ran full-speed into the back of Martins.

Herbst came into Saturday’s race on the Playoff bubble, so this incident is very costly. But again, fortunately Herbst was able to walk away from the crash.
