Kyle Larson only led one lap in Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series Focused Health 250 at Circuit of the Americas, but it was the lap that counted the most — the last one. After a shoving match erupted between Shane van Gisbergen and Austin Hill for the race lead, Larson was there to scoot past them both to take the top spot, and the race win.

After the race, Larson’s race-winning No. 17 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro went through post-race inspection, where the car passed with no issues. As a result, Larson and his team were officially named the winners of the race.

This marks Larson’s 15th career NASCAR Xfinity Series win, and it’s the first victory for Hendrick Motorsports in the series since the 2009 season.

The No. 19 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota GR Supra and the No. 1 JR Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro each had one unsecured lug nut in post-race inspection, which will result in monetary fines for their crew chiefs.

No other issues were detected in post-race inspection. All results and standings following Saturday’s race at COTA are now considered official.
