Brandon Jones will officially return to Joe Gibbs Racing as the full-time driver of the No. 20 Toyota GR Supra during the 2027 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series. The race team announced that Jones had re-signed for another season on Thursday morning.
For Jones, 29, Joe Gibbs Racing, where he has celebrated all of the biggest triumphs in his career, is like family.
“(Joe Gibbs Racing) is home to me. We’ve built a great relationship over the years, and it’s exactly where I want to be at this point in my career,” said Jones in a team press release. “Not only has this been the place where I’ve found most of my success in my career, but I also value the chemistry and relationships we’ve built as a team on the No. 20. I think we’re just scratching the surface of what we’re capable of as a group and I’m excited to keep building with this team in 2027.”
Jones, who will enter his 12th season of racing in NASCAR’s second-tier series, has eight victories in his career, including one earlier this season at Chicagoland Speedway. Jones has amassed 358 career starts in the series.
That kind of longevity is crucial to Joe Gibbs Racing, which will surround Jones with a talented group of younger teammates, including William Sawalich, Brent Crews, and Taylor Gray, yet again in 2027.
”Brandon really provides a veteran presence to our O’Reilly Series program, and we’re excited to have him return next season,” said Heather Gibbs, co-owner of Joe Gibbs Racing. “He has always done such a great job representing Menards, and we look forward to continuing that partnership.”
Joining Jones with Joe Gibbs Racing in 2027 will once again be his longtime sponsorship partner, Menards.
The company is excited to continue its journey with Jones behind the wheel of its brightly colored race cars.

According to Joe Gibbs Racing, Jones will again be paired with crew chief Sam McAulay next season as they continue to build their collective notebook together.
Currently, Jones sits sixth in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series championship standings and has one win, five top-five finishes, and 13 top-10s through the opening 23 races of the season.
