Brandon Brown is in a pressure packed fight for a 2020 NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoff spot, but he currently holds a 31-point advantage over Jeremy Clements for the transfer position.

Next week, when Brown heads to Darlington Raceway for the Sport Clips Haircuts VFW 200, he’ll do so carrying the colors of an absolute legend, Janet Guthrie.

The scheme looks exactly like Guthrie’s No. 68 machine, down to the stars on the side and Brown will even carry Guthrie’s name below the driver’s door. What an awesome tribute.

You wanna talk about pressure, try being Janet Guthrie trying to break into big-time auto racing back in the 1970’s. In a non-politically correct world, she broke the barriers and become a respected force on the track.

Guthrie, a New York-native, competed in 33 NASCAR Cup Series events, and she scored five top-10 finishes. She also led five laps in her career as well.

All but two of Guthrie’s NCS starts came in the No. 68 for car owner Lynda Ferreri.
