Video: Kyle Busch Takes Out Chase Elliott With Less Than 30 to go, Elliott Flips Busch Off

Kyle Busch was already one of — if not the most — unliked drivers in NASCAR. But with under 30 laps remaining in Wednesday’s NASCAR Cup Series Toyota 500, he hooked Chase Elliott, sending the No. 9 car hard into the inside wall.

Elliott waited for Busch to drive back around the track and gave him the one-finger-salute.

Elliott was so angry because he had the car to beat in the closing laps, as Denny Hamlin and Busch were on older tires. Elliott had just rocketed to second, when Busch sent him for a ride.

  1. Busch and Hamlin were in a duel for 1st. Elliot pushed Hamlin ahead, denying Busch and at the same time screwing Busch out of 2nd…he might have fallen back to 4th or 5th. Good move by Elliot. Clearly Busch was sending a message.
