UPDATE: On Friday, Henderson Motorsports confirmed a report from TobyChristie.com that says Patrick Emerling will compete in a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event for the organization in May.

Emerling will get behind the wheel of the No. 75 Chevrolet Silverado RST at North Wilkesboro Speedway, with sponsorship from Black Rhino Aluminum Trailers.

“At Black Rhino, we don’t just build trailers – we build the foundation for adventure and connection. Partnering with Patrick for his Truck Series race at North Wilkesboro allows us to extend our mission into the heart of American motorsports. Patrick’s tenacity, entrepreneurial drive, and racing excellence mirror the values that drive our products and our people,” said Christen Cherry, Director of Strategic Partnerships at Black Rhino.

“We’re thrilled to be a part of this historic return to North Wilkesboro and can’t wait to see the Black Rhino #75 truck battling up front.”

“I’m excited to race in the truck series,” said Emerling. “Henderson has a very competitive program and I am looking forward to this opportunity.”

Patrick Emerling is expected to compete in a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event during the month of May in the No. 75 Henderson Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado. This, according to sources with knowledge of the agreement, who spoke to TobyChristie.com under the condition of anonymity.

An official announcement from the team is expected this week, and come as early as Thursday.

The 32-year-old Emerling is the current NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour point leader after two races. The racer has a win and a runner-up finish to kick off the season in the modified series.

Additionally, Emerling has put in some solid performances in the NASCAR Xfinity Series this season, driving a part-time schedule for the No. 07 SS-GreenLight Racing team. Emerling recorded a top-10 finish in the season-opening NASCAR Xfinity Series event at Daytona International Speedway.

Through five NASCAR Xfinity Series starts this season, Emerling has one top-10, two top-15s, and three top-20 finishes. His most recent start resulted in a 12th-place finish at Talladega Superspeedway.

Emerling started his 2025 season off with eye-opening performances at New Smyrna Speedway throughout the five-race World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing Tour-Type Modified Division championship series.

In the five races at New Smyrna, Emerling captured three victories and finished no worse than third, which was more than enough to secure him the overall championship.
