While the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series will not race on Halloween specifically, GMS Racing’s Tyler Ankrum will bring an appropriately themed design when he hits the track this weekend.

The familiar orange and black of LiUNA will grace Ankrum’s truck, with a new Halloween-themed design coming from the creative mind of Tanner Whitt, a graphic designer at the Truex Management Group.

The Mooresville, North Carolina designer has been responsible for a handful of on-track schemes this year, including Ryan Truex’s JACOB Companies Silverado at the Daytona Road Course.

The design features traditional Halloween vocabulary including pumpkins, bats, and a dripping number effect that is not often seen on NASCAR-approved paint schemes.

As Whitt explained to TobyChristie.com, “I  didn’t want to go too wild with it, but I added some fun elements that are definitely unique, like the numbers with the drip effect and the purple gradient to look like a fall, October sky.  I love the Halloween season, so I had a lot of fun designing the scheme.”

It’ll be the fourth trip to Martinsville in his young Truck Series career, with the best finish of 12th in October of 2020. Ankrum made his series debut at the track in 2018.

Fans can see the No. 26 LiUNA Silverado hit the track on Saturday, October 30th at 1:00 PM EST on FOX Sports 1 and the FOX Sports app.
