Video: Mechanical Issue Sends Jack Wood Hard into Backstretch Wall, Done for Evening at Daytona

The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season-opener has been calm to this point thus far, with no cautions for incident throughout 60-percent of the event.

That was, until, Jack Wood, driving for GMS Racing, suffered a mechanical issue on his No. 24 Make An Impact Chevrolet Silverado, sending his truck into the outside wall with significant force.

 

Wood would join Dean Thompson, Bret Holmes, and Johnny Sauter in the garage area, but would be the first retiree from the race, due to damage.
