Video: Lapped Traffic Troubles Trigger Three Truck Accident to End Stage Two at Dover

Chandler Smith – the part-time NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors for Kyle Busch Motorsports’ No. 51 — has had a troubling start to his part-time campaign in 2020, with the 18-year old being involved in his second incident in just his third start of the season.

The incident occured while battling for third-place at the end of the stage two, when trying to get around the lapped truck of Jordan Anderson, Smith and teammate Christian Eckes made contact, sending the No. 51 spinning in turn four.

Luckily, Smith missed the barrels at the end of the pit wall, but the 18-year old spun back onto the racing surface, causing damage to Sheldon Creed and Ben Rhodes’ vehicles.

Smith, Rhodes and Creed were all able to continue on the race track, but the caution flag would result in the end of stage two at Dover.
