Video: Bayley Currey Spins, Backs into Outside Wall on Lap 3

It’s been a rough start to the 2024 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series campaign for Bayley Currey, who is running full-time in the No. 41 Chevrolet Silverado for Niece Motorsports. The rough start continued Friday night at Las Vegas Motor Speedway as Currey went for a ride on Lap 3.

As Currey was battling three-wide with Matt Crafton and Chase Purdy coming off of Turn 2, Currey lost control of his No. 41 machine, and backed into the outside wall, causing significant damage to the rear of his truck.

Currey finished 30th a week ago at Atlanta Motor Speedway after the roof flew off of his truck late in the race. Currey had a truck he felt was capable of contending for a win in that race, but was sidelined for the remainder of the race after contact with debris on his windshield led to the unfortunate exit of his roof body paneling.

The Texas native did score a 13th-place finish in the season-opening event at Daytona International Speedway.
