Brad Keselowski has had a lot of success at Darlington Raceway recently. But if he is going to nab another solid finish in Sunday’s Cook Out Southern 500, he’s going to have to rebound from some early race adversity.

On Lap 107 of the 367-lap contest, Keselowski received a tap from behind from Carson Hocevar, a Chase contender. That contact got Keselowski sideways, and as he tried to gather his No. 6 RFK Racing Ford up, Hocevar got into the back of him one more time, which fully sent Keselowski spinning out.

This incident brought out the caution, and with less than 10 laps to go in Stage 1, this allowed us to see the first use of NASCAR’s new rule, which states that any caution with 10 laps or less to go in a Stage will count as the official Stage end.
Tyler Reddick would win Stage 1 over Bubba Wallace.
Keselowski, who had been solidly inside the top-10 to top-15 for the majority of Stage 1, will now look to fight back from outside of the top-25 in Stage 2.
