Joe Nemechek and NEMCO Motorsports will attempt to qualify for the season-opening NextEra Energy 250 for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at Daytona International Speedway, driving the No. 8 Chevrolet Silverado.

A representative from NEMCO Motorsports confirmed the news to TobyChristie.com on Tuesday Afternoon, following a social media post by the 57-year-old, captioned: “I’m not done just yet! Time to go Daytona Camping World Truck Series racing this Friday night on FS1 at 7:30 pm.”

Earlier this month, it was confirmed by a team representative that NEMCO Motorsports was not planning to field an entry in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in 2021, however, the organization’s plans have changed and the team will run at least Daytona.

The 2021 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season will begin with the NextEra Energy 250 at Daytona International Speedway on Friday February 12th, 2021 at 7:30PM / EST on FOX Sports 1.
