Christian Eckes didn’t win Stages 1 and 2 in Saturday night’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Weather Guard Truck Race at Bristol Motor Speedway, but the driver of the No. 19 McAnally-Hilgemann Racing Chevrolet Silverado was dominant on his path to his first win of the 2024 season.

Eckes led a race-high 144 laps and held off Kyle Busch to score the race win, the sixth win of his NASCAR Truck Series career.

Following the race, NASCAR performed post-race inspection, which Eckes’ race-winning No. 19 machine cleared. As a result, NASCAR declared Eckes and his race team the official winners of the Weather Guard Truck Race at Bristol on Saturday night.

The only issue detected was an unsecured lug nut on Zane Smith’s No. 91 Chevrolet Silverado, which will result in a monetary fine for his crew chief.

All results and standings following Saturday night’s race are now considered official.

Busch, who was driving the No. 7 Chevrolet Silverado for Spire Motorsports, came home second, while Zane Smith, Matt Crafton, and Tyler Ankrum finished in positions three through five.

With the top-five finish, Ankrum extended his regular-season points lead to 17 points over Corey Heim, who finished sixth in the race.

Taylor Gray, Rajah Caruth, Grant Enfinger, and Layne Riggs rounded out the top-10 finishers of the race.
