Video: Stewart Friesen, Nick Sanchez Tangle Late in Truck Race at Bristol

With 35 laps remaining in Saturday’s Weather Guard Truck Race at Bristol Motor Speedway, a wonderful battle for victory was shaping up between Kyle Busch, Christian Eckes, and Matt Crafton. Now, with a late-race caution, things have changed.

The yellow was displayed for an accident between a pair of trucks inside the top-10, Stewart Friesen and Nick Sanchez, when the driver of the No. 52 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro assumed he was clear at the exit of the corner, pulling up in front of the Daytona winner, and sending both trucks inside the outside wall and giving them significant damage.

Friesen would spin down the frontstretch while avoiding contact with anybody else, meanwhile, Sanchez got away from the incident with just some damage to the right side of the REV Racing truck. Both drivers were able to continue, with Sanchez remaining on the lead-lap. Friesen would fall multiple laps down.
