After 167 starts in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, Tyler Ankrum is finally getting a chance to make his debut in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series. Ankrum, a two-time race winner in the NASCAR Truck Series, will pilot the No. 32 Jordan Anderson Racing Chevrolet in Saturday’s Ag-Pro 300 at Talladega Superspeedway.

It’s a great opportunity for Ankrum, as the No. 32 team has performed well this season, and seemingly always is in the mix for the win late in the race at superspeedways.

Utilizing a rotating roster of drivers, the No. 32 Jordan Anderson Racing team sits 16th overall in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series owner standings, which, in a series as competitive as the O’Reilly Series, is no easy task.

Team owner Jordan Anderson has piloted the No. 32 Chevrolet himself in a plethora of superspeedway races in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series since 2024, and he has amassed some astonishing results.

Anderson finished fourth in the season-opening event at Daytona International Speedway earlier this year, which matched his fourth-place effort in that same event in 2024. Anderson has added finishes of sixth and seventh, also at Daytona International Speedway in the summer of 2024 and the spring of 2025.

While the No. 32 Chevrolet has been stout at superspeedway races, the team just hasn’t had the same level of luck in the events at Talladega Superspeedway. Anderson was swept up in crashes, which forced him to retire from both Talladega races in 2024 and the fall 2025 race at the 2.66-mile facility.

Perhaps Ankrum can use some beginner’s luck this weekend to avoid the inevitable on-track carnage that tends to ensue at Talladega? If he can avoid ‘The Big One,’ expect Ankrum to have a car capable of contending for a solid finish in his NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series debut on Saturday afternoon.

Ankrum, who drives for McAnally-Hilgemann Racing in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, has three top-10 finishes in seven career Truck Series starts at Talladega Superspeedway. Through his entire Truck Series career, Ankrum has 167 starts, two wins, 24 top-five finishes, and 67 top-10s.
