Ford Performance Unveils 2022 Ford F-150 for NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Competition

For the second consecutive season, the Ford F-150 will have a new look when the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series opens its season at Daytona International Speedway in February 2022.

The new truck features styling directly from its production counterpart, in order to more closely mirror the current model delivered to consumers. Development of the truck took place in Ford’s design center in Dearborn and at the Ford Performance Technical Center in Concord, North Carolina.

“We’re proud to be the first to show off our 2022 NASCAR truck today,” said Mark Rushbrook, Global Director, Ford Performance. “The Ford F-150 is the pride of the Ford truck lineup so we’re glad to be able to update the race version to show off the dynamic front-end styling that is truly F-150.  We can’t wait for our teams to get on track with it next February in Daytona.”

The truck will feature an all-new composite nose surface, as well as a newly designed composite hood and tail area, all of which incorporate design characteristics from the production model of the F-150. The hood will change from steel sheet metal to composite for 2022, while the new-look fender will continue as sheet metal.

“It is great to have a new look for our NASCAR Truck Series F-150 starting next year,” said Hailie Deegan, driver of the No. 1 F-150 in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series for David Gilliland Racing. “The aggressive look of the nose and the other styling changes really mirror the production F-150 and in the process has helped improve some areas such as aerodynamics for us on the track starting next season.”

The 2022 NASCAR Ford F-150 makes its on-track debut next February at Daytona International Speedway, as the manufacturer looks to continue its success in the series. Since the series debuted in 1995, Ford has captured 107 victories and two championships with Greg Biffle (2000) and Matt Crafton (2019)
