AJ Allmendinger picked a fine time to score his first win of the 2024 NASCAR Xfinity Series season. The Kaulig Racing driver had found a way to survive and advance to the Round of 8 of the Playoffs without a victory. And now, with a win by 0.156 seconds over Ryan Sieg in Saturday night’s Ambetter Health 302 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, The Dinger is onto the Championship 4 at Phoenix to compete for a title.

Following Allmendinger’s win, where he led a race-high 102 laps, NASCAR took the No. 16 Kaulig Racing Chevrolet Camaro through the post-race inspection bay. The car went through the rigors of post-race inspection, where it was given a passing grade.

As a result, NASCAR officially declared Allmendinger and his race team the official winners of the race.

The No. 27 car (Jeb Burton), No. 38 car (Matt DiBenedetto), and No. 00 car (Cole Custer) had one unsecured lug nut each, which will result in monetary fines for their crew chiefs.

No additional issues were detected in post-race tech, which means all results and standings following the Ambetter Health 302 at Las Vegas are now considered official.

Ryan Sieg was the official runner-up finisher in the race, ahead of Justin Allgaier, Chandler Smith, and Parker Kligerman.
